3 Day Kakadu Tour

Top of Jim Jim Falls

If you like the idea of independent travel where you decide where you go, how long you stay and who you go with, but don't have the resources or knowledge to do it, and you want to reduce your environmental impact on the pristine eco systems you visit, then a Private Eco Charter of Kakadu is the ideal solution.

We offer Private Eco Charters for families, groups of friends and businesses who want to experience Kakadu on their own terms. We cover the whole Park and you can select one of the pre set itineraries, or we can customize an itinerary for you based on your needs or special interests.

The tours are Nature Based offer Best Practice Eco Touring, not only are our Carbon emissions offset by planting trees, (creating a Carbon Neutral Tour) but we have also introduced many carbon reduction initiatives such running vehicles on Bio Diesel and practicing Minimal Impact Tourism.

And just because this is an Eco Tour, don't expect to miss out on anything, our tours focus on the Natural Aspects of Kakadu National Park and get you into the wilderness, viewing wildlife in the wild while still sampling some of the best food and wine the Top End has to offer.

Sample Itinerary.

Please note, the following itinerary is a guide only, the private Charter Tour itineraries can be tailored to suit the individual group.

Pick-up from your accommodation at 6:30am. Our first stop for the day is to view some fantastic Kakadu bird life on the Marrakai Floodplain as we head down the Arnhem Highway on our way to Kakadu National Park.

What a better way to start the morning than by sitting back and enjoying our private crocodile and wildlife cruise on Corroboree Billabong, a part of the Mary River system. You are bound to see plenty of wildlife and usually a lot of crocodiles on a 1.5 hour cruise that won't leave you disappointed.

We travel into Kakadu via the unsealed Old Darwin Road. After traveling for a while we take a break at White Lily Billabong for another chance to admire congregations of birds amongst water lily covered floodplains

Next we visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre which gives you a great insight into Aboriginal lifestyle and culture with plenty of information and displays

Our day ends with a refreshing swim at Barramundi Gorge where you can spend some time exploring, rock climbing, relaxing or swimming in the waterfalls, the choice is yours. Tonight after a candlelit dinner in the heart of Kakadu, you can have a go at playing the didgeridoo. (Lunch, Dinner)

After a short walk down to the end of the gorge, you reach a beautiful white sandy beach at the base of Twin Falls - simply spectacular. Alternatively, for the active hikers you can take the option of a return walk (7km) to the Top of Twin Falls which offers some magnificent views down the gorge and swimming in rock pools at the top of the falls.

From Twin Falls we make our way to the mighty Jim Jim Falls Kakadu. A swim in the plunge pool at the base of Jim Jim Falls Kakadu is sure to wake you up for the day as you cool down in the refreshing water. To reach the plunge pool, a 1km scenic walk through monsoon rainforest is taken and has excellent lookouts over Jim Jim Falls Kakadu. Take your time to admire the awesome sight of the sheer cliff faces that surround you from the base of the gorge.
