About The Kakadu Tours
Kakadu National Park is amazing, it's half the size of Switzerland, got man eating crocodiles, 40000 year old rock paintings, 4WD tracks and 150 metre high waterfalls.
There is no point sitting on a bus tour if you want to see the best bits so each of the 3, 4 and 5 day Kakadu Tours use 4WD vehicles and only take small groups of between 9 and 14 passengers. Activities include hiking, swimming, camping and exploring in Kakadu National Park.
If you are prepared to rough it a bit, can handle a day or 2 without a shower and think sleeping out under the stars next to the campfire is a grand idea, then you may have stumbled on a tour designed just for you
Kakadu National Park is a World Heritage listed park and is one of only a handfull of World Heritage Listed areas which is listed for both it's Environmental and Cultural qualities. For more detailed information about Kakadu, see Kakadu National Park
Special permits, issued to only a small number of tour operators by the National Park Service, allows for unique access to Koolpin and Graveside gorges (4 and 5 day tours), these hidden destinations are left off most maps to discourage visitors because of their enviromentally sensitive and culturaly special qualities.
The 3 Day Kakadu Tour visits Twin Falls, Barramundi Gorge, Jim Jim Falls & Nourlangie Rock in Kakadu National Park plus many other less well known destinations
The 5 Day Kakadu Tour visits everything on the 3 day plus Koolpin Gorge and Graveside Gorge, two amazing destinations with limited access to other tours.
All Kakadu 4WD Tours are camping where the group sleeps out under the stars in Australian Swags (bed roll) around the campfire, (tents are carried if you prefer). The campsites are bush camps with little or no fascilities depending on the site, these camps are chosen for their remote locations and crowd free nights.
