Once on Fraser Island the beach is the hyway, Seventy Five Mile Beach travels on the eastern side of the island and there are plenty of great spots where you can stop for a picnic lunch. After lunch you head further north to Eli Creek.
Eli Creek is a sensational spot, as fast flowing creek of fresh water where it is possible to jump in as the creek meanders through the rainforrest and float all the way to the ocean, it's great fun especially in a group.
From this area we can also take the 20 minute walk to lake Waby, Lake Waby is the deepest lake on Fraser Island and is adjacent to a huge and steep sand dune system, the Hammerstone. The return walk takes you through the Hammerstone Sandblow and back to the beach.
