1 Day Fraser Island Tour

This 1 Day Fraser Island tour explores Fraser Island and is perfect for those with limited time. Located just off Queensland's South Coast, Fraser Island is the worlds largest sand island and is world heritage listed. The tour has a maximum passenger number of 10 of 16 depending on the type of 4WD vehicle used, It’s an adventure style tour with plenty of fun and activity.

Approx 70% of Travelwild passengers are between 19 and 39, with 50% males and females.

The Tour visits 75 Mile Beach, Eurong Beach Resort, Eli Creek, Lake Wabby, Lake Birrabeen, Central Station, Pile Valley & Wanggoolba Creek

Hikes vary on each tour, there are a selection of walks throughout this tour chosen for their suitability to the time of year and weather conditions.

1 Day Fraser Island Tour

For those with limited time, this tour provides the opportunity to see the natural beauty of Fraser Island's famous landmarks.

Travelling north from Brisbane we pass the Glass House Mountains, inland from the Sunshine Coast, passing the gold mining town of Gympie before arriving at Rainbow Beach. From Rainbow Beach we take the 4WD bus on to the beach to meet our ferry at Inskip Point, where a short ferry ride will take us to the southern tip of Fraser Island.

Driving along Seventy Five Mile Beach we pass Eurong Beach Resort on our way to explore some of Fraser Island's rainforests and Freshwater lakes.

Our first stop is Lake Birrabeen, one of Fraser Island's beautiful crystal clear lakes. Take a swim in its pristine waters or stroll on the white sandy beaches.

Our next stop is Central Station to visit Fraser Island's lush subtropical rainforests. We take a fantastic 1 hour walk along the crystal clear flowing waters of Wanggoolba Creek and see the remnants of the now ceased logging industry for which Fraser Island was famous.

Take in the Giant Satinay trees and learn more about the history of these magnificent towering trees.

Tour back through the sandy tracks lined by towering rainforest to the beach.

Day 2, 1 Day Fraser Island Tour

With an early start for a continental breakfast at 7.00am, we check out and get out on tour by 8.00am. We head to Central Station today to visit Fraser island's lush subtropical rainforests. We take a fantastic 1 hour walk along the clear flowing waters of Wanggoolba Creek and learn about Fraser Island's Timber History.

Next we are off to Lake Birrabeen, one of Fraser Island's beautiful crystal clear lakes. We have plenty of time here to swim, relax, sunbathe and enjoy a picnic lunch.

After lunch we head through the forest roads back to the Southern end of Fraser Island. Mid afternoon we depart Rainbow Beach back to Brisbane, with the tour finishing around 6.00pm.
